ANZAC Day 2019 Program Terang and Noorat

ANZAC Day Thursday 25th April 2019

Sequence of Events - Terang 

Anzac Day this year will be a symbolism in Welcoming Home our men and woman who had served and returned home from the Great War, with a large number of troops not getting home until 1919.  Dawn Service will will be held at the RSL, commencing at 0545 and the Main Service at 10am also at the RSL, then followed by the main march to our War Memorial in the High St.  The Noorat Service will commence at 8am at the Noorat War Memorial. Lest We Forget.

·      0500 – RSL open

·      0545 – Dawn Service Commences

·      During the ceremony speeches are made and wreaths are laid.

·      Welcome address and introduction by President, then introduce Guest Speaker TBA

·      0630 – Ceremony ends - Rotary BBQ

·      After the ceremony, re-enter the hall for a cup of tea or coffee. 

Noorat

0800 – Service will be held at the War Memorial

During the ceremony speeches are made and wreaths are laid.

Terang Service and March

1000 service will commence at the RSL Hall

as per the program Father Gerry 

On completion of the service, Brendon and his granddaughter Mia will head the parade on horse back dressed as a Light horseman to the memorial.

Approx 1100 Main ceremony at the War memorial in the High St,  Guest Speaker Mr Richard Riordam MP member for Polwarth.
